3 Days to Brand Clarity

Welcome! In this three-part series you'll get crystal clear on what your next offer is and how to communicate it.

Hi, I’m Desha, and I work with female biz owners to help them make more money doing work they love. My clients are smart and successful, but sometimes they have a hard time focusing on a way to earn money in a way that aligns with their greatest gifts and lifeSTYLE values + aspirations.

Without Brand Clarity, it’s really hard to have a solid sales and marketing strategy. So for now, let’s focus on the clarity piece and then if you need help with marketing and sales, I’m happy to help you with that too :)

In this series, we’ll go over three topics to get you closer to Brand Clarity:

Day 1: Clarity. What’s important to you now? What are the feelings that you are really craving in this season of your life / biz?

Day 2: Biz Model / Offer Creation. What biz model / offer aligns with your lifeSTYLE aspirations right now?

Day 3: Messaging. How to say who you are / what you offer. KEEP IT SIMPLE.

Day 1 Brand Clarity

The very first step in creating your next offer and being able to communicate it is FIRST to get crystal clear on what it is that you want to create. I suggest you do this based on your lifeSTYLE aspirations.

Stay with me because you might feel this is a bit subjective, but here’s my first tip- something I was told by a mentor years ago: Don’t get good at something you don't want to do. Before spending a lot of time creating your offer, let’s make sure it’s going to give you the feeling you want.

Take Action Now:
1. Watch the video below.

2. Download your LifeSTYLE Intention Guide.

3. Write your LifeSTYLE Intention so that you can create an offer that aligns with your life / biz aspirations.

Day 2 Biz Model / Offer

Welcome back to day two of this three-part video series. Yesterday, I asked you to write your LifeSTYLE Intention. Did you do it?

The point of that is to make sure that what you are creating matches your LifeSTYLE aspirations.

Now I’m assuming you're here because you want to make money and there are many ways to do that in business.

There are several business models but they are not all created equal. Let’s look at each one, then I’ll tell you my favorites. Before we dive in, I did say in the video that I’m focusing mostly on service based industries here and that I would try to give you examples from product based businesses, but then I didn’t!

The concept is similar though, you can think of your product price point and ask how many sales you’d need to make. Just like with services, you can then assess how big of an audience you need to make your sales goals. I will note here that there ARE ways to make sales outside of your own network.

For products, you can get beyond your audience if you do wholesale, or go through a third party provider like an agent, or get your products licensed. For service based folks, you can consider white-labeling (doing a service for a larger brand), affiliate marketing, or collaborations to get beyond your audience.

Ok, let’s dive in. Here are the most common biz models in the service based industry:

  • 1-1 Model: Don’t need a big audience, but do need to charge a lot.  20 clients at 5k= 100k

  • Group: Don’t need a big audience, but a group needs to have the same problem that you’re solving and be ready to solve it when your group goes live. You need to be a good facilitator to run a successful group.  50 clients at 2k= 100k

  • Hybrid: Some combo. I’ve seen this alot. They are often called masterminds. An expert leads you through the curriculum, you have a group and sometimes get 1-1 coaching. I’ve seen this cost between $3500-$20k.  28 clients at $3500=100k

  • Retreat / Live Event: Depending on the size of event, you don’t need a huge audience, but you will have more expenses than the other models so keep that in mind.  25 clients at $4000= 100k

  • Ecourse: Need bigger audience / lower cost. 250 students at $400= 100k

  • Membership / Community: Need bigger audience / lower cost. 6,6666 members at $15= 100k

My Favs: 1-1 + retreats. Those services line up with my lifeSTYLE aspirations (giving me time and financial freedom because I charge premium prices, I can work with a select number of clients and don’t need a huge audience.

Also, I  have consistently had the best results when I’ve worked with 1-1 coaches or have attended very curated live experiences so those are also clues for me. Choose a model that you’ve had good results with yourself, that will help you believe in it.

Looking at some of these prices, you might ask: who buys this stuff? Lots of people. Me!

Things I’ve purchased myself:

  • Digital Program: $2000

  • Hybrid Digital / with live support: $1800

  • Mastermind: $10,000

  • FB ads agency: $25,000 - $30,000

  • Ecourses: $15.00 - $400

  • Retreats / live events: Few hundred to $4000 - $5000

  • Coaching: 2 hrs for $5000

Things to think about:

  • What is your current audience size?

  • Do you have the time and energy to build a big audience if you’re going to offer a low cost thing? Or, can you partner with someone who does have a large audience?

  • Are you good with groups? Do they energize or deplete you?

  • Which model will you choose this season?

Here’s my offer: 1-1 coaching  / 8 sessions / 4 months / $5000 package or save $500 with the payment plan. Learn more here.
