Ready, Set, Launch!
On June 6 I kicked off my national book tour with a Home Decor Pop Up + Book Signing + Art Show event that was so fun and magical, I just have to tell you all about it!
It was last Friday night during Gallery Walk on one of the busiest weekends in town. Over 250 people came to check out the Pop Up Shop, get their book signed, and peruse art by some of my favorite peeps.
It was a truly magical evening that incorporated so much of what I love- good food, old friends, complete strangers both young and old, a vintage typewriter for writing letters, a record player guests could tinker with, a vision station for dreaming, and an impromptu dance party. Delight.
As one of my friend’s explained, “I feel like I just walked into your head”, meaning my creative vision was clearly playing out into reality. As a multi-passionate creative, it’s incredibly fulfilling when that happens and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. At one point, I felt this surge of joy and energy that’s hard to explain- it can be best described as simple and pure JOY, like a natural injection of serotonin.
When is the last time you experienced this kind of joy? If it’s been awhile, I encourage you to find a way to create it. Hint: doing what you love is a good start.
